In autumn, Ticino is filled with colour: the days are still warmed by the sun, the mountains are a rainbow of yellow, ochre and red shades that reflect on the lakes, changing their colours. The grapes are ready to be made into wine and many parties are held to celebrate and taste "the nectar of the gods"; meanwhile, tasty chestnuts are gathered and cooked in little villages all over Ticino.
